Testimonials

fisher middle school

The  Grow Wellness program has been incredibly beneficial to our students  this year. Through a combination of individual and group sessions, the  program has provided valuable support, particularly for our English  Language Learner (ELL) students. The individual sessions offered  students a personalized space to share their thoughts, manage stress,  and work through personal challenges in a one-on-one setting. These  sessions have been especially impactful in helping students feel heard  and supported, leading to increased confidence and emotional resilience.  The group sessions further fostered a sense of community and belonging,  allowing students to connect with peers facing similar experiences. We  are grateful for the positive influence the program has had on our  students' overall well-being and school engagement.

-Courtney DiFore, Assistant Principal

Granger middle school

Our  therapist, Courtney,  from Grow Wellness made a significant positive  impact on her clients at Granger this year through her dedicated work  with both individual students and small groups. She facilitated three  counseling groups, each addressing specific student needs: one focused  on improving attendance with three students, another supporting PA  students managing anxiety with five students—one of whom was referred  for and transitioned into individual therapy in the office—and a third  group aimed at enhancing executive functioning skills with three  student. In addition to her group work, she provided individual  counseling to five clients and had consistent communication with school  staff as well as client’s families. Students genuinely enjoyed meeting  with her each week, and teachers have observed noticeable improvements  in behavior, engagement, and emotional well-being among those who  participated in her groups or individual sessions.

Grow Wellness Foundation seeks to expand mental health support

The Grow Wellness Foundation is featured in a recent NCTV17 Spotlight segment, highlighting our mission to expand mental health support within the Naperville community and surrounding areas. As a Naperville-based nonprofit, we are dedicated to breaking down barriers to mental health care, including stigma, accessibility challenges, and the integration of mental health services into primary care. We firmly believe that mental health access is a right for all, not a privilege.

In the past year alone, we have provided therapy hours for 117 clients across DuPage, Kendall, and Kane Counties, including residents of Naperville, Aurora, Downers Grove, Lombard, Warrenville, Wheaton, Joliet, Lisle, Bolingbrook, and Woodridge. Our on-site therapy services in Naperville cater to individuals aged 12 and above, addressing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and multicultural concerns.

Additionally, we have provided on-site therapeutic services, including individual therapy sessions and therapy groups, for over 200 high school and middle school students in Aurora and Naperville. Our community partnerships extend to organizations like Little Friends, Max’s Mission, and North Central College, furthering our reach and impact.

Looking ahead, we remain focused on expanding our services across Naperville and neighboring communities. Our goals include increasing one-on-one therapy offerings, expanding programming in community schools, and enhancing strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations. Through coordinated and comprehensive mental wellness resources, events, and knowledge sharing, we strive to identify and address key community mental health challenges.
